History

A bad attitude in muggle clothing succinctly sums up what most people would tell you about Jacob.

The Wrathorne family is barely pureblood, and one of the many elitists who do their best to ape the Malfoy family. While no evidence was ever found that Jacob's father Craven Wrathorne was a Death Eater, he was a fairly open supporter of the cause back in Voldemort's day. Unlike his father, Jacob's mother Issamine came from the respected tangle of bloodlines which form the heart of European purebloods. However she died giving birth to him.

Jacob seems to take great joy however in doing anything his father would disapprove of. He frequently dresses in blatantly muggle style clothing, and relishes using their slang. While it's certainly earned him no popularity with his housemates, other than that he falls in with their attitudes including a begrudged deference to Draco and hostility towards the other houses. However with a rather well known anger management problem, hostility seems to be one of Jacob's fortes.
